About The Coach

Coach Alan Annazone has been playing and coaching lacrosse for over 25 years. He started his playing career in the Fair Lawn youth program (Fair Lawn, NJ), before becoming a 4-year letterman and 2-year captain at Fair Lawn High School. In 2002 he was an All-Gibbs Division Selection and later selected to The Garden State Games, North Team. He is considered to be one of the best goalies in Fair Lawn Lacrosse History (Est. 1970)  by both his coaches and alumni.

In 2003, Annazone began his college playing career in lacrosse and football at Sacred Heart University (Division I) in Fairfield, Connecticut. He later transferred to Montclair State University (Division III) in Upper Montclair, New Jersey, to focus solely on lacrosse. As a freshman, he compiled a win/loss record of 14-2 and helped lead his team to the Knickerbocker Conference Title Game and an East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship.  Annazone was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the tournament after compiling 31 Saves, a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 3.27, and a save percentage of .861. During the 2004 season, he was a two-time Knickerbocker Conference Rookie of the week and a finalist for Rookie of the year.

To this day, Annazone ranks as one of the top goalies in Montclair State history in several statistical categories. He finished the 2004 Season as one of the top Freshmen Goaltenders in the country (NCAA Division III).

In 2014, Annazone joined the coaching staff at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, NJ, as one of the Head Assistant coaches and goalies’ coach.

While on staff at Northern Highlands, the Highlanders have compiled a win/loss record of 107-35. His tenure includes 2 Division Titles (2014 & 2018), 4 Bergen County Championship appearances (2014, 2016, 2019, & 2021),  4  Group III North Championship Appearances (2014, 2016, 2018, & 2021), 1 Group III North Championship (2018), 1 Group III Championship (2018), and 1 Tournament of Champions appearance (2018).

In 2019, Coach Annazone was named Group 3 Assistant Coach of the year In New Jersey.

Since 2014, Coach Annazone has been a Head Coach at Brotherhood Lacrosse under, Director and current Head Coach of Northern Highlands Boy’s Lacrosse, Kyle Ojakian.

Coach Annazone has coached several goalies that have earned All-League, All-County, All-State, and All-American. Including NJ’s Goalie of the year (2017).
